1 Peter 1:6-7: 6 “In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."
There is a lesson to be learned in our griefs and trials. I think we get so busy ranting and raving about our trial and the grief (at least I know that I do) that it causes me to look inward instead of upward. I don't stop complaining long enough to see the good in every situation. Of course, sometimes there may be nothing good at all in our current circumstance, but God can cause good to come out of it if we patiently wait on Him.
I know that is a scary thought, asking God for patience, because patience only comes through fiery trials, but the end result is far better and truthfully, where does all the ranting and raving get us anyway. Exactly....nowhere!
